Vitamin A is an infection-fighting nutrient that may be found in two forms: preformed (found in animal foods such as fish, meat, and dairy) and plant carotenoids. Preformed vitamin A is abundant in tuna. When it comes to carotenoids, go colorful:

  • Carrots
  • Sweet potatoes.
  • Pummpkin
  • Squash (Butternut)
  • Cantaloupe
  • Vegetables with dark green leaves.

Vitamin D

It is known as the "sunshine vitamin," and it is one of the most vital and strong nutrients for immune system support. There are few food options, however they include:

  • Salmon and mackerel
  • Tuna
  • Sardines
  • Vitamin D fortified with milk, orange juice, and cereals.

In general, it's ideal to acquire the majority of your vitamins via food, but vitamin D may be an exception. Consult your doctor to determine whether you require a supplement.


Zinc is required for the development of new immune system cells. It is mostly found in animal diets; however, it may also be found in some vegetarian diets.

  • Reduces inflammation.
  • Anti-aging.
  • Helps to prevent sadness and anxiety.
  • Mental well-being.
  • Immune system booster.
  • Gut, heart, kidney, liver and skin health.
  • Protects against oxidative stress.

Choose frozen health supplements when you can’t get fresh

You may not always be able to obtain high-quality fresh food, depending on where you live and the time of year. Remember that buying frozen is a good choice that may be quite convenient in our time-crunched society. Frozen foods might still help to improve your immune system.

The other thing your immune system needs is lots of fresh fruits and vegetables for their antioxidants and phytonutrients. Load up on those as well as water, fresh air, and exercise.
